Purchasing Manager:

direct and coordinate purchasing operations in line with corporate goals and procedures; examine and evaluate quality assurance processes; improve and sustain product quality using analytical tools and software; propose and implement improvements to purchasing activities; analyze marketing, sales, production, and inventory, procurement and distribution data to conduct analysis of business and present reports to management for decision making; analyze inventory and quality of supplies and develop metrics to project inventory production requirements to maintain lean inventory; develop metrics and assess inventory aging to minimize capital loss; compare product turnover to maximize inventory turns; review vendor agreements and quality control obligations; liaise with vendors and suppliers related to contract adherence and procurement concerns; review and draft supplier profiles; design and conduct Monte Carlo simulations for risk mitigation in inventory production schedules; assist in drafting proposals for the purchase of supplies and equipment; make recommendations to reduce costs and labor rates; and keep abreast of changes in the industry and field. A Master’s degree in industrial management, supply chain management or logistics management required.
